INTRODUCTION

The purpose of the (K-SPAN) system is to produce metal buildings on site both quickly and economically .Using its roll-forming components, it shapes structural grade steel coil into straight building panels. it then corrugates and curves those straight panels into arches two feet wide, dimensioned to the pre-set size to meet building requirements. Those curved panels are then assembled on the ground, using and electrically powered seaming machine, into groups of 3 panels. The crane then lifts the group of panels into position in the foundation forms, where they are secured by spot welding and with guy ropes as necessary. This process is repeated until the entire roof of completed. Next, the enwalls are shaped from straight panels, cut to size, installed and seamed together, and leaving room room for doors, windows and vents according to the plans. The (K-SPAN) system is capable of erecting building as small as 4 meters wide by 2 meters high to as large 25 meters wide by 12.5 meters high. Length is unlimited. With a trained crew, the K-SPAN system is capable of producing buildings at the rate of 500 square meters per day. THE (K-SPAN) system is an entirely different ape- preaches to the task of providing pre- engineered buildings. The conventional method of contract- in for such structures is to work with a Manu- faturerto select a building from a list of those available ( or to design one if a standard one is not available), have the manufacture design , engineer and fabricate it at his factory, then in- ventory , pack and ship the components to a dealer near the construction site. The dealer, in turn, prepares the site, unloads and again inventories the components (ordering and re- placing damaged, misfabricated or missing components) and erects the building. This process normally can take several months. (K-SPAN) method eliminates of the conventional steps and drastically .reduces the overall time required to get from concept to neality. The first step in the ( K-SPAN) system is to select a building size from a design manual based on weather conditions at the site . the next step is to prepare the site by leveling and pouring the concrete foundation.
